Working Mode, keystroke: C

• Selects the IP Module Working Mode. Only Router Mode is supported.

Managed Switch Multicast Option, keystroke: E

• Available only when Managed Switch is the selected Working Mode; Enables or disables the

routing of multicast IP traffic over the satellite, or to another device on the local LAN

• See Section 9.1.1.1.1

Telnet timeout, keystroke: T

• Sets the minutes of Telnet inactivity allowed before the Telnet session is automatically

terminated. Range: 1 through 60 minutes

• See Section 9.2.2.1.8

9.2.2.1.1 Name/Password Configuration screen

Go to the Name/Password Configuration screen from the Administration screen.

Use this screen to set the passwords required for access via HTTP, FTP, SNMP and Telnet.

• All Usernames and Passwords are case sensitive.

• There is a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 11 characters.

Any or all of the Usernames and Passwords can be removed by entering NONE NONE from the CLI or

Telnet.

Removing all Usernames and Passwords allows access to the IP functions only when connected via the

Terminal Emulator (serial) connection. This is because there is no login for the CLI.

FTP access is restricted to Admin Username/Password only. FTP is used only to upgrade the IP

SOFTWARE or to load or retrieve the IP Parameter file.
