example–andtocompleteallrequiredcableconnections(Figure3‐2andFig ure3‐3).
Although th
e techniques featured in this appendix afford easy adjustment and setting of the
phase shifter for optimum output power combining over the full amplifier bandwidth,
alignmentinthefieldisgenerallynotrequiredandyouarestronglycautionedagainstmaking
unneededadjustments.However,ifyoureplaceanamplifierorothercri
ticalsystemcomponent
(e.g.,thePCB‐4000 unit),theproceduresprovidedin thisappendixexplainthestepsnecessary
torestorepropersystemoperation.Thisappendixalsoprovidesaverificationprocedureinthe
eventthatyoujustneedtoconfirmpropersystemoperation.
